Sao Tabi Tanago Fishing Kit

Tiny rod, tremendous fun

Tanago is the Japanese art of catching tiny fish with a tiny rod, and this kit is a beautiful way to try it. The telescoping rod collapses small and tucks into a wooden case with its own Japanese-style drawstring pouch, so it's as giftable as it is packable.

Why it's giddy-worthy

• Telescoping rod that packs down pocket-size
• Wooden storage case and handmade Japanese-style pouch
• Comes with 2 wooden line boards, a baiting/hook-removal tool and a wooden bait box

Good to know

• Rod extends from about 6.5 in (16.5 cm) to 5.6 ft (170 cm)
• Rod handle weighs about 1.6 oz (46 g); about 6.5 oz (185 g) with the case
• Choose a pouch color family: Green / Dark Blue, Green / Red, Yellow / Dark Blue or Yellow / Red; exact pattern and wood tone vary
• Not included: line rigs, floats and bait
• If a section sticks, don't force it: take the sections apart, line them up thick to thin, reassemble and let everything dry fully after a wet day

Perfect for anglers, curious hobbyists and lovers of Japanese craft.
